I’m going on holiday! I’m so so excited to spend two weeks in Mexico with the best girls. My last few holidays have been city breaks/weekends away that sorta thing so I’m excited to lay on the beach with a cocktail in (both) hand.
Being an avid reader I intend on bringing a couple of books with me AND my Amazon Fire tablet with all my kindle books on! With a longgg haul flight to Mexico I’m hoping to finally dig into my to be read pile and make a start on a couple of books I mentioned in my ‘I bought the first three books I saw on Instagram’ post, you can check that out here.
I picked up The Fandom by Anna Day after seeing Olivia from thatfictionlife talk about it on Youtube. I’ve always imagined what it would be like to just step into a fictional world, Harry Potter for example! I’d kill to go to Hogwarts, I mean how cool would it be? This book is exactly like that with the main characters entering into their favourite fictional world. I may or may not have already started reading this one, oops!
I started reading A Court Of Thorns And Roses the other week and a chapter in I bought the other two books in the series ? After some googling I found out another book was released in the series so I went out and bought that straight away. I LOVED ACOTAR, it’s been one of the best books I’ve read in a very long time (along with Scythe!) so I’m so so excited to carry on reading about Feyre and what happens next in A Court Of Mist And Fury.
The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton also finds itself in my suitcase. Such a stunning cover and an interesting plotline, this book takes a look at beauty and the obsession with appearances. There was a lot of hype about this book before it was released and judging from the reviews it’s lived up to the hype!
Lastly I’m bringing Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi with me. This book is all about magic, or lack thereof after a ruthless king orders everyone with magic to be killed. Zélie is our main protagonist who has to bring back magic, but will she? I’m really looking forward to this one so stay tuned for a review!
